Must-Visit Attractions

Qimei Island:
Double-Heart Stone Weir: The “Double-Heart Stone Weir” is a popular attraction built by local villagers using basalt stones. Its shape resembles two connected hearts, making it a romantic spot where many couples vow their eternal love.

Little Taiwan: This is a sea-eroded platform located on the inner side of Nioumaping Bay on Qimei Island. It is named “Little Taiwan” because its shape resembles the main island of Taiwan. This natural wonder is formed by years of sea erosion and only appears above the water during low tide. Visitors should pay attention to the daily tide schedule to catch the moment when the water recedes and reveals this fascinating sight.

Dashi and Longcheng: On this basalt coastline, looking left and right, you can see the Dragon and the Lion guarding the area. “Dashi” (Great Lion) is a rock protruding from the sea cliff, shaped like the head, neck, or even the body of a lion through sea erosion, standing guard over the ocean. On the left, the rock vein extends into the sea like a coiled dragon, hence the name “Longcheng” (Dragon Citadel). Some say it resembles an eagle’s head, with the observation deck serving as its wings. What do you think it resembles? Come and see for yourself.
